Who we host
Contractor and work crew housing
Furnished apartments for crews working across southern West Virginia. Multiple units, full kitchens, and terms that run as long as the job does.
Putting a crew up for a job that runs three months is a logistics problem before it's a lodging problem. Motel rooms mean per diem for every meal, no place to do laundry, and a crew scattered across three properties. Meadow River Lofts is a straightforward alternative: furnished apartments with full kitchens in one building in Rupert, West Virginia, rented for the length of the project.
We host crews working pipeline, utility, construction, highway, and industrial jobs across the region. Some are here for a few weeks, some for the better part of a year.
Housing a crew in one building
When multiple units are available, we can put a whole crew under one roof. That's worth more than it sounds like:
- One address for everyone. No coordinating pickups across three motels on opposite ends of a county.
- One point of contact. Your office deals with us, not with several front desks.
- Crews can carpool. Everyone leaves from the same parking area at the same time.
- Two-bedroom units share well. Two private bedrooms plus a living room and kitchen works for a pair of guys who'd rather not share a room.
Tell us how many people you're placing and roughly how long, and we'll tell you honestly what we can hold.
Why a kitchen changes the cost of a job
The nightly rate is the number everyone compares. Meals are the number that actually moves the budget.
A crew eating three restaurant meals a day for eight weeks costs real money, whether it comes out of per diem or gets billed back to the client. Every unit here has a full kitchen — refrigerator, range, cookware, dishes. Crews cook, split groceries, and pack lunches for the site. Over a long job the difference is significant.
There's also a practical benefit: guys who can make coffee and breakfast in their own kitchen at 5am aren't waiting on a lobby that opens at seven.

Unit types for crews
Every unit is furnished with a full kitchen. Compare all layouts →
For a crew of four, two two-bedroom units is usually the most economical arrangement. For a foreman or superintendent who wants his own space, a one bedroom or efficiency works well.
Billing and paperwork
We can bill a company directly rather than making each worker pay and expense it. We can provide a single consolidated invoice for a crew rather than separate receipts per person. W-9 and certificate of insurance are available on request.
If your company has a procurement process or needs specific documentation before booking, tell us early and we'll work through it.
Common questions
Can you house an entire crew?
Often, yes — it depends on what's available for your dates. Tell us headcount and timeline and we'll give you a straight answer about how many units we can hold.
Do you rent for the length of a project?
Yes. Short-term, mid-term, and long-term terms are all available, and we'd rather set the term to match the job than force an arbitrary length.
Can you invoice our company directly?
In most cases, yes. Mention it when you inquire and we'll set up billing before anyone arrives.
Is there parking for work trucks?
There is parking on site. If you're bringing oversized vehicles, equipment, or a trailer, check with us first so we can plan for it.
What if the job runs longer than planned?
Jobs run long. Let us know as soon as you can and we'll extend the stay if the units are open.
Do the apartments have kitchens?
Every unit has a full kitchen with a refrigerator, range, cookware, and dishes.
