Furnished rentals in Greenbrier County
Monthly furnished apartments in Rupert — full kitchens, on-site laundry, and terms that fit an assignment instead of a calendar year.
Greenbrier County has a housing gap that anyone who has tried to rent here for three months knows well. There is short-term lodging for tourists and there are year-long leases for residents, and very little designed for the person who needs somewhere to live for a season.
Meadow River Lofts sits in that gap. We're a furnished apartment building at 524 Nicholas Street in Rupert, on the western side of the county just off Route 60, renting by the month to people working in the area.
Where Rupert sits in the county
Rupert is in western Greenbrier County, near the Nicholas and Fayette county lines. That location is the reason people choose it: rather than being deep in one corner of the region, it's within a reasonable drive of most of it.
- Beckley~45 min
- Summersville~45 min
- Fayetteville~45 min
- Hinton~45 min
- White Sulphur Springs~45 min
- New River Gorge National Park~45 min
Lewisburg and White Sulphur Springs are the county's better-known towns, and both are an easy trip. But the practical advantage of Rupert is the western access — Summersville, Fayetteville, and the Gorge are all close, which they aren't from the eastern end of the county.
Why furnished monthly rentals are hard to find here
It's a supply problem, not a demand problem. Short-term vacation rentals are aimed at weekend visitors and priced by the night. Traditional apartments come unfurnished and want a twelve-month commitment plus deposits, utility setup, and furniture you'd have to buy and then get rid of.
Neither works for a nurse on a 13-week contract, a contractor on a four-month job, or a family waiting on a house to close. That's the specific gap we fill: furnished, monthly, and flexible on the end date.

Who rents here
Our guests are mostly working in the region rather than visiting it:
- Traveling nurses and healthcare staff
- Contractors and work crews
- Corporate, government, and relocating employees
- Families in temporary housing between homes
- Longer-term visitors who'd rather have a kitchen than a hotel room
The New River Gorge is about 45 minutes away, so we also host the occasional extended visit built around the park — though most of who we serve is here for work.
