What you don't get: Rupert is not a place with a dozen restaurants and a big-box store. There are local places to eat, and Rainelle is a few minutes west, but full grocery runs and larger shopping generally mean a drive toward Lewisburg or Beckley. This is exactly why a full kitchen matters more here than it would in a city — you stock up once a week and cook.
